Connected
to the divine.
Natureza is a 508(c)1A religious organization based in Kentucky. We are a church community shaped by prayer, sacred plant traditions, reverence for the Earth, and our relationship with one another.
Prayer, community, and connection to NatureAll life
is connected.
We believe the Earth is sacred…a living expression of divine consciousness and the source of the life that sustains us.
Our faith recognizes the interconnectedness of people, plants, animals, and the wider natural world.
We honor the spiritual intelligence we believe is present within our sacraments and the guidance encountered through prayer and ceremony. We approach these experiences with humility and respect.
Reverence.
Responsibility.
Relationship.
Our beliefs are expressed in how we worship, how we care for one another, and how we carry our experiences into daily life.
Honor the
sacred.
We approach our sacraments, prayers, and ceremonial practices with spiritual intention. Their meaning is rooted in our religious life and the traditions that inform it.
Live with
integrity.
Compassion, ethical conduct, and respect for self and others are commitments we ask our members to bring into the community.
Grow
together.
We value mutual support and unity. Our spiritual practice continues through our relationships and the choices we make beyond a gathering.
Respect the people.
Honor the traditions.
The teachings we value come from living people and cultures.
Our beliefs are influenced by Indigenous and Native American spiritual traditions from North and South America. We honor the cultural contexts of these practices and the people who carry them forward.
Our relationships in the Amazon are part of Natureza’s continuing story. We seek to deepen those relationships through listening, shared learning, and respect for Indigenous wisdom and spiritual leadership.

Faith we
practice together.
Prayer. Song. Meditation. Offerings. Ceremony.
These practices are ways we express gratitude, seek spiritual guidance, and deepen our connection with God, Nature, and the divine. Our beliefs recognize plant spirits and spiritual guides as teachers within our religious understanding.
Our monthly Sunday services provide an ongoing rhythm of worship for members. We gather for religious rituals, prayer, and connection with Nature, with hapé, tobacco, sacred resins, and ayahuasca as part of our sacramental practice. To see a list of full sacraments and rituals including The Hampaya Ceremony (a “Forest Baptism” with the sacred pepper), reach out for a private conversation.
Sunday services and extended ceremony gatherings have different formats. Participation in services and sacramental practices follows our membership and screening process.
Integral to
our religious life.
Natureza’s founding documents recognize ayahuasca, psilocybin mushrooms, and cannabis as sacraments within our religious beliefs. We also work with hapé, a sacred tobacco preparation, in our rituals and prayers.
We believe sacramental practice deepens our communion with the divine, opens space for spiritual reflection, and helps us recognize our connection with the living world.
Each sacramental practice is approached with reverence, responsibility, and respect for its religious meaning. Practices vary by gathering, with participation guided by our membership and screening process.
Carry the
practice into life.
What we experience in prayer matters in how we live afterward.
Our beliefs emphasize integration: reflecting on spiritual experiences and putting their teachings into practice through compassion, personal responsibility, and connection with our community.
Membership is a commitment to the beliefs, principles, and conduct of the church. Our Declaration of Spiritual Beliefs and Commitment offers members a way to affirm that relationship voluntarily.

Belonging with
intention.
Membership is a voluntary affirmation of the beliefs and principles we practice together.
Our Declaration of Spiritual Beliefs and Commitment asks members to honor the sacredness of our sacraments, live in harmony with Nature, approach prayer with openness, respect Indigenous wisdom, act with integrity, and contribute to a compassionate community.
Before joining, you have space to ask questions and understand what that commitment means. Our beliefs, membership expectations, and screening process are part of getting to know one another.
